REVELATION SEMINAR: — Sunday, October 9 – 16, 2016
The Book of Revelation is filled with a message and many mysteries. It is a book of the Bible that contains vivid imagery and striking symbolism. Yet it is a book of prophecy with a message in which the Holy Spirit seeks to pull back the curtain of the end times. It is a book in which we see the Son of God in heaven along with His sovereign purposes being fulfilled here on earth. Through all the events that have yet to take place, there is great comfort in knowing that God is still on His throne.
Pine Island Bible Church will be holding a 9 session seminar on the Book of Revelation with Ron Lashuay as our guest speaker. Ron and his wife Anne are former missionaries to the Philippines. Ron is now on staff at Calvary Bible Church in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. His love for our Lord and His Word is without question to those who spend any time with him. We are grateful for his passion for this book of the Bible and his desire to lead us through this survey of Revelation.
To listen to the messages and view the outlines please go to our Revelation page here.
Come and join us for all or any of these services.

FAMILY SEMINAR: — Sunday, MAY 1, 2016
“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.” (Psalm 127:1 & 3)
How is your influence and what legacy will you leave with the next generation—with your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren?
We are living in a day when the home in under attack. This culture that we live in is redefining marriage and family. Biblical marriage and family are being undermined by the anti-God culture in which we live. Many Christian homes do not display the joy that God has intended. Many of these homes are weak and crumbling finding their children going away from Biblical truths once given their freedom.
What are we to do? How can we faithfully raise the next generation and navigate these challenging times in which we find ourselves?
Please consider joining us on Sunday, May 1st. Pastor Craig Griffith will be with us for a three session seminar on the family. He has been the Senior Pastor of Open Door Baptist Church since 1997. He and his wife, Ann, have seven children: Hannah, Sarah, Craig Jr., Jeremiah, Daniel, Mary, and Zechariah.
In each of these he takes back to the Authority and Designer of the home. He challenges us to return to God’s Word to see how God instructs us regarding family. When we operate within God’s parameters of the family we can expect His blessing.
Session #1 – “The Priority of the Family”
Session #2 – “The Permanence of the Family”
Session #3 – “The Positions in the Family”

EASTER REMEMBRANCE & CELEBRATION 2016
You are invited to worship the Lord with us as we remember a PERFECT SACRIFICE and celebrate a RISEN SAVIOR. Rediscover the story of the greatest gift in the history of the world. A gift purchased with the greatest love you will ever know.
WHY JESUS MATTERS…
He is God, and He loves you.
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son [Jesus], that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”—John 3:16
He died and rose again to pay for your sins.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:”—1 Corinthians 15:1-4
“But God commendeth [proved] His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”—Romans 5:8
He desires to come into your life and save you.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”—Romans 10:9, 13

MARRIAGE SEMINAR: — Sunday, FEBRUARY 28, 2016
“For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery:…” (Ephesians 5:31-32a)
The “mystery” of marriage…Marriage can often seem mysterious. For those who have yet to enter into this beautiful covenant, the unknowns and speculation about it may seem quite mysterious. For those who have entered this covenant relationship, marriage may still seem to be a mystery with all the complexities that come with joining two lives together as one. Some have tried and failed; some are trying to “stick it out”; while others are successfully traversing through the, at times, troubled waters of marriage.
The truth is that God has given us a manual, the Bible, to help us understand this challenging yet truly wonderful relationship. His desire is for each of our marriages to thrive being filled with love, unity and commitment that will stand the test of time.
When considering this “mystery” that Paul writes of in Ephesians 5 we see that he is specifically writing about the relationship between Christ and the Church. Paul uses this as an illustration to help us understand God’s design in this most important of human relationships.
Please consider joining us on Sunday, February 28th. Dr. Allen Griffith will be with us for a three session seminar on marriage. Dr. Griffith is the Executive Director of Biblical Family Ministries (http://www.biblicalfamilyministries.com/). Over the course of his 26 years as senior pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Westchester, PA as well as his more than 20 years with Biblical Family Ministries, he has helped countless men and women in their marriages.
Seminar Schedule – Sunday, 2/28/16
Session 1 – “The Violation of the Marriage Covenant”
Session 2 – “The Design of the Marriage Covenant”
Session 3 – “The Picture of the Marriage Covenant”

SEMINAR: “OUR LOVE IN CHRISTIAN LIVING” — Sunday, November 1, 2015
Jesus said, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye have love one to another.” (John 13:34-35)
As a Christian—one who is so loved by God, how do you love? As we consider God’s love that He displayed in the work of His Son on our behalf, it is important for us to consider how we love. Does it look anything like how God loves us? As Christians, we claim the name of Christ but do we act like Him—do we love like Him?
Evangelist Glen “Shorty” Shank, with Shank Family Ministries, along with his wife, Jennifer, and four children will be with us on Sunday, November 1st for this seminar on “Our Love in Christian Living.”
Shorty travels with his family to different churches, schools, and camps seeking to encourage believers in their walk with the Lord as well as evangelizing those who do not know Christ. He has been in pastoral ministry and evangelism for the past twelve years.

SEMINAR: “PRACTICAL EVANGELISM AND DISCIPLESHIP” — Sunday, September 20, 2015
As the culture around us seems to be growing more and more anti-Christian, what are we to do? What is our Biblical responsibility in the face of opposition? The reality is that the communities in which we live need Christians more than ever to stand up and stand firm on the truth of God’s Word. We are called to be “blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; holding forth the Word of life;…” (Philippians 2:15-16) Many around us are in desperate need of the light of Christ that we are called to bring to them.
Evangelist Matthew Barfield along with his family will be with us on Sunday, September 20 for this seminar on “Practical Evangelism and Discipleship.”
Matt Barfield was in law school when the Lord called him to missions in 2002. He was trained for ministry at his local church and sent to the Middle East through International Partnership Ministries. After learning Arabic and helping to start a church and Bible institute in Jordan, the Lord enabled Matt to endure a prolonged illness caused by parasites. In answer to the prayers of many believers, the Lord healed him and broadened his ministry with IPM. In 2011, Matt took on the role of IPM’s Vice President of Field Ministries, a ministry that takes him to many mission fields around the world to preach, teach and advise.
Matt and his wife, Chrysta, have seven children. They all serve the Lord together and are praying for a Global Great Awakening. After seeing both blessings and hindrances in the Lord’s work all across the globe, they are convinced that the Church is “…well able to overcome…” (Numbers 13:30) and experience victory locally and globally.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT WORSHIP?
In today’s day and age of Christianity, much is made about worship and rightly so. It is important to understand what the Bible says about it. The question that we look to answer is, “What is Biblical worship and what should it mean to us?”
The answer to this question is important, not only because Christians should know what worship is, but in discovering what worship is, we also find out WHO we should be worshipping.
Mr. Jeffrey Griffith will be with us on Sunday, June 21, 2015 for this seminar on Biblical worship.
Mr. Griffith has served on the Staff of Open Door Baptist Church since January of 2001 as the Administrative Pastor. He has a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music from Bob Jones University and has served as the Associate Director of Biblical Family Ministries. Jeff continues to direct the Music Ministries of both Lebanon Christian Academy and ODBC and leads the Worship Services on Sunday and Wednesday night.
Come join us!

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THE CROSS AND ALL OF ITS GLORY?
“But God forbid that I should glory [boast], save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” (Galatians 6:14)
The cross, an instrument of death—glory?! These seem to oppose each other. But consider the glory of the cross as God sent His only begotten Son to pay the penalty of death that sin brought upon every living soul. It was on the cross that Christ “bore our sins in His own body, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose [Christ’s] stripes [we] are healed” (1 Peter 2:24).
So again I ask, “Have you considered the CROSS and all of its GLORY?” If not, come and join us! If you have, come and join us as we celebrate the death of our Savior—His death that brought us life. Come join us and see the CROSS, but then come back and see the EMPTY tomb.
“O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 15:55 & 57)
The reality is that Christ Jesus is RISEN, “Just as He said” He would. Christ’s words were true and His WORD is still just as true.
Easter Services:
- Good Friday – 7 pm
- SON Rise – 7:30 am
- Fellowship Breakfast – 8:30 am
