A Firm FoundationWe are living in a day when the home in under attack. This culture that we live in is redefining marriage and the family. Biblical marriages and family is being undermined by the anti-God culture in which we live. Many Christian homes do not display the joy that God has intended. Many of these homes are weak and crumbling finding their children going away from Biblical truths once given their freedom.

The goal of this series is to encourage us with God’s Word and to challenge us to stand for Biblical truth by the grace of God. In these we will go back to the Author and Designer of the home and seek His will from His Word.

(#1) Psalm 127 – “A Firm Foundation” – Outline (pdf) – As we begin this series regarding the family, our desire is to be firmly grounded in the truth of God’s Word. In this message we consider God’s design for the family. We are to build upon the foundation of truth being God and His Word in order to faithfully raise up the future generation to the glory of God.


(#2) Matthew 26:36-39 – “Love Displayed in Sacrifice” (Part 1) – Outline (pdf) – In this message we consider Christ and how He displayed His supreme love for the Father by sacrificing His own will thus surrendering to the Father’s will. The challenge for each of us is to follow His lead and be willing to seek to love the Father supremely by sacrificing our will for His will to be accomplished in our lives.


(#3) John 15:12-13 – “Love Displayed in Sacrifice” (Part 2) – Outline (pdf) – In this message we consider Christ and how He displayed His supreme love for the Father by sacrificing Himself for others. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). The greatest display of love was shown that day as Christ suffered in our place. His sacrificial love for the world is an example that we are to follow.


(#4) Matthew 6:33 – “Love Displayed in Surrender” – Outline (pdf) – In this message we consider our kingdom pursuit. Each of us are running the race of life pursuing a kingdom that is lead by a king who sits upon the throne of our life. This kingdom has a set of values—it has a moral compass and worldview that dictates the direction of this kingdom. We consider our need to surrender our own perceived kingdom, yielding the throne of our life to the King of Kings.


(#5) Joshua 1:6-9 – “Love Displayed in Sanctification” Part 1 – Outline (pdf) – In this message we consider our God’s design for growth in our kingdom pursuit. When we consider our marriages, families, and other relationships, at times these relationships can seem quite impossible. Yet as we consider God’s Word, we that God truly is in control and He has set forth a process for us to succeed in these vital relationships as we submit to His way. This process is that of sanctification.
