A few years back, the Lord laid on my heart the need to be more diligent in sharing, with others, what He opens my eyes to during my devotional time with Him. \u00a0As I have spent more and more time with the Lord, His Word has become more and more precious. \u00a0There are days in which a verse or passage just comes to life in a way that previously was unseen to me for various reasons.<\/span><\/p>\n

In one message I felt led of the Lord to ask this question regarding our devotional \/ quiet time with the Lord. \u00a0The question was this, “What did you read?<\/strong>” Often we take the time to spend with the Lord then move on with our day barely remembering what passage of Scripture we read let alone what I got out of it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The challenge for myself is to seek to approach the Word of God with an attitude of being teachable followed by diligence in sharing what I have been taught.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we enter our time with the Lord let us seek to receive from Him encouragement, areas of needed change, as well as an increased understanding of Himself. \u00a0This is just the beginning, but it shouldn’t end here as it often does. \u00a0In our communication with the Lord we must receive from Him and in turn respond to Him in obedience through our response toward others<\/strong>. \u00a0This comes in the form of serving others through what the Lord has taught us and sharing these “precious truths” with others.<\/span><\/p>\n

A “precious truth” must not<\/span> be kept to one’s self. \u00a0It must<\/span> be shared…it must<\/span> be proclaimed!<\/strong> \u00a0Get excited about what the Lord shows you and then take action by sharing it with others. \u00a0You will be blessed as you share how God has blessed you.<\/span><\/p>\n

I trust and pray that the Lord will continue to bless each of you, more and more, with His Word and that as you read these “precious truths” that you will receive a blessing from the Lord.<\/span><\/p>\n

I echo Paul’s words in Colossians where he says,<\/span><\/p>\n

“For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His<\/strong> will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that ye might walk worthy of the Lord<\/strong> unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God<\/strong>; strengthened with all might, according to His<\/strong> glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; giving thanks unto the Father<\/strong>, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:” (Col. 1:9-12)<\/span><\/p>\n

“Let the Word of Christ<\/strong> dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord<\/strong>.” (Col. 3:16)<\/span><\/p>\n
